my mind gathers roses, places them on my weakness and this failing becomes disguised as lovely frailty when in reality these feelings are self-centered weeds
Yes – it’s amazing how powerful our minds can be in creating what we want to see i.e. “disguised as lovely frailty”. (Would it be ‘frailty’ or ‘fragility’)? And, yes – “self-centred weeds” that get in the way of our wholeness – how very true!
Your words make me smile aloud the biggest smile. It's recognition that we find here or simply the acknowledgement of another's existence. For their truthfulness of sentiment of the human condition, I sincerely say thank you.

I think we all are a bit self centered.

Yes, I guess we are all in this
never ending battle.
Thank you for visiting Missy.
"my mind gathers roses, places them on my weakness"
This is such a beautiful line, Cynthia. The whole poem is lovely.
Agree on this, Cynthia
But, it reminded of placing roses on a dead body...
because, to me -- the only 'weakness' is death..sometimes one assumes death, while living...and that to me seems the best state of 'being'

Therein lies the whole human story.
